Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) announcing the disbanding of a watefront public access working group.

The following e-mail chain was forwarded from The Boston Harbor Association to inform interested parties (including SAND) that a waterfront public access working group, of which TBHA was a member, was disbanded at the request of one of its founding member organizations (NAIOP) after one meeting.

TO:         TBHA Board of Trustees
             TBHA Harbor Use Committee
FROM:     Vivien Li
             The Boston Harbor Association

In January, 2006, we indicated that a Working Group on Chapter 91 regulations, as proposed by the National Association of Industrial and Office Parks (NAOIP), was being established to advise the Department of Environmental Protection on such issues as Chapter 91 License terms and facilities of public accommodation.

The first meeting was held on 9 March 2006, and a second meeting was planned for tomorrow.

As you can see from the attached, this effort is now being suspended.

Subject:        Ch. 91 meeting

Following up on our last meeting, attached please find  1) a list of the projects that have received "extended terms", and 2) a draft proposal from MassDEP for extended terms. My understanding is that CZM may also have a draft proposal for distribution and discussion.

Our next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, March 29th @ 10:00 and will be held at Rubin and Rudman LLP, 50 Rowes Wharf, 3rd Floor Conference Room "A" Boston, MA.  There is parking available in the garage beneath Rowes Wharf. Thank you to Myrna Putzinger for hosting us.
