Welcome to the Seaport Alliance for a Neighborhood Design website, Boston's resource for information regarding development of the seaport, inner harbor and waterfront of South Boston.

Founded in South Boston's historic Fort Point Channel neighborhood, SAND advocated for long-range planning ideals, envisioning the South Boston waterfront as a vibrant, diverse community with a distinctive character and sense of place.

SAND represented a collective voice of Boston-based residents, business owners, artists, architects, urban planners, cultural institutions and community groups in the public waterfront development process.
